Jim Saxton Thanks Voters
for Big Win

Mount Holly, N.J.– The voters of the Third Congressional District re-elected Congressman Jim Saxton to serve in 110th Congress.
 
Jim won by 18 points, 59 percent to 41 percent.
 
“Once again, a majority of the voters approved my record and have put their confidence in me for another two years, and I am grateful,” Saxton said. “I have tried to work as hard as I can for Ocean, Burlington and Camden Counties.”
 
Jim said the main themes of his campaign were to stress the $80 million he brought to New Jersey hospitals in the past two years, his success in saving the 17,000 jobs at Fort Dix, McGuire AFB and Lakehurst Navy Base in 2005 and the creation of the nation’s first ‘megabase’ in Ocean and Burlington Counties and
 
Jim also thanked the volunteers, contributors and campaign workers who worked on his race. He said his new campaign slogan, “Saxton Gets an A,” was devised to highlight  the difference between the similar names of Sexton and Saxton.
 
Jim, a former State Assemblyman and State Senator before voters sent him to Congress in 1984, gave his victory speech in his hometown of Mount Holly.
